EEPROM for the TDS9092 embedded computer

256 byte serial EEPROM non-volatile memory for the I²C bus. The PCF8582 or a functional equivalent (as in the picture) may be supplied.

l This EEPROM is supplied as standard in the TDS9092 computer.

l Can be a few meters from the computer board without having to add buffers.

l The TDS9092 drives the device at a speed of about 17k baud. Transfers are synchronous and handshaken.

l Unlike a RAM, no back-up battery is needed and the stored data is safer from corruption.

l Can be used for non-volatile configuration parameters.

l The TDS9092 contains the driver words for byte transfer and for defining non-volatile variables.
